Scans and photo reproduction service
We use the most sophisticated acquisition systems available on the market for highest quality scanning and photo reproduction. Negatives and positives up to 4″×5″ are captured using a Hasselblad Flextight X5, with its unique virtual drum scanning method, ensuring perfect focus over the entire film surface. For photographic reproductions we use a 100 Mpixel camera, in order to get a file rich in details. In the case of deteriorated originals, we offer a highly qualified digital restoration service.
Scans
The Hasselblad Flextight X5 is an excellent negative/positive scanner with the capability of generating the copy file in FFF format, equivalent to the RAW format of modern digital cameras. This format contains the raw information captured by the sensor and can be processed directly by the user using ordinary photo-editing tools, for full flexibility of interpretation without added cost.
For copying larger prints, historic photos and any kind of 2D artwork up to A3 size, we use an Epson flatbed scanner with adjustable point of focus.
Photo reproduction
For sizes greater than 40x60cm we use a photo-reproduction setup prepared for each case, with a mast and two 45° flash lights, complete with colour check.
For this work we use a 100 Mpixel digital camera, so we can get a very high resolution and detailed file.

Restoration
Printed images and films are prone to deterioration: staining, scratches, and colour alteration related to the original chemical processes are especially common. Our restoration work on the scanned copy regains an image of original quality. By archiving a digital copy of the original print, slide or negative, you can also block the aging process forever.
